Summer is officially upon us. At this time of year, you’ll want to pay some extra attention to your furry friend. Pets are very susceptible to overheating when temperatures soar! An Ellicott City, MD vet offers some tips on keeping pets cool in this article.

One of our favorite ways to beat the heat is by enjoying a summer snack. Our four-legged friends are also onboard with this one. You can pick up ice cream made just for Fido and Fluffy in many stores. There are also lots of simple snacks you can make yourself. Put kibble or shredded meat in an ice cube tray, and pour sodium-free fish, beef, or chicken broth over it. Or, mix canned tuna or chicken with fat-free plain yogurt, and freeze. Voila!
