Who We Are

A few words about us...

Keeping your pet healthy in Columbia, Hanover, Ellicott City, Linthicum, Elkridge and surrounding areas…

Sharing your life with an animal is one of the greatest experiences on earth. It’s about so much more than just providing food and shelter. It’s about opening your home and your heart to a helpless creature and baring your very soul in the process. It’s about making sacrifices and becoming vulnerable. Yet the gifts you receive in return – unconditional love, unwavering loyalty and undying devotion – are worth their weight in gold.

Nobody understands the unbreakable bond you share with your animal companion quite like our dedicated team. In fact, it’s what we’ve built our Columbia and Ellicott City practice on. Our goal in everything we do – whether it’s a routine checkup or advanced critical care – is to improve the life of each patient we serve and strengthen the connection they share with their loving owners. We have a genuine devotion to the health and welfare of animals and we believe that all creatures deserve exceptional care and attention.

From the moment you walk through the doors of our Columbia and Ellicott City clinic, you’ll know something’s different. We always remember our clients and patients because we take the time to really get to know them, learning about their lives and understanding the unique personality of each precious pet. We strive to make vet visits as stress-free as possible and we accomplish this goal through gentle, reassuring handling and a truly compassionate touch. And, of course, we’ve got plenty of yummy treats to help win over our patients (even our feline friends!).

At Claws N Paws, a trusted Columbia and Ellicott City veterinarian, we are extremely thorough in our approach. We work hard to quickly diagnose issues so that we can focus on keeping our patients as happy and healthy as possible. Our staff is well-informed, friendly and patient, always taking the time to explain your options and providing guidance to help you be the best pet parent you can be. We want to work with you to help you make the best decisions for your family and your budget.

Our clients may come to us for the extensive services and treatment options we offer, but it’s the warm, personalized care that keeps them coming back again and again. We love our patients just as much as our very own animal companions and it’s evident in everything we do. We’d love the opportunity to demonstrate just how valuable this type of partnership can be, and invite you to stop by our Columbia and Ellicott City clinic anytime….we’ll be waiting!

I had been taking my furbaby Chi Chi to another doctor/vet since obtaining her from being a dog for breeding because of her breed & color being so rare.
Anyway, Chi had been getting alot of yeast infections in her ears over the past year. Nothing seemed to change until I switched to Claws N Paws Animal Hospital. From my 1st phone call they were caring & attentive to Chi's needs. The staff were all very welcoming & caring for her. Dr. Singh had great communication with me and Sarah explained cleaning & meds clearly. Heather was helpful with info for spaying & Charlie is also a gem. It is very obvious that all the staff are experienced & caring for our babies. They even gave me a follow-up call the next day to check on her.
        Definitely a 5☆ animal hospital!

I relocated to Maryland from MA. I had an established vet in MA, and took my two cats in for a wellness exam and vaccines back in June before the move -...

Five stars! We've been going to see Dr. Singh since December of 2016 after a recommendation from a friend. One of the great things about Claws N Paws is that the entire staff is good with our dogs. Everyone is friendly and they care about the animals who are their patients. My last vet was one my family had been seeing for almost thirty years. He was a tough act to follow, but Dr. Singh is doing a great job. He cares about our dogs and he discusses treatments with us. We've had to be there a lot in the past few months - a few infections the pups couldn't shake, but it's never been a trial to be at this office. It's been comforting.

We went for a exam of my dogs infected ear. This vet was amazing. Unfortunately we found out other news that wasn't so great. But thankful this vet is so intentive with their patients and they found another problem that my other vet has missed for years. I have a very timid senior dog and honestly couldn't be happier with the care they gave and all the info we recieved.
