Is your pet scratching a lot more than usual lately? Have you noticed other unusual symptoms, such as hair loss, flaky skin, or bumps?

There are many signs that a pet may be suffering from a dermatological problem. If left untreated, a skin condition can cause discomfort and even pain. At Claws N Paws Animal Hospital, we want to help your pet achieve optimum health, inside and out. Our professional pet allergy and dermatology services are designed to diagnose and treat a wide variety of skin issues, including those affecting ears and feet.

Diagnosing the Problem

We take our role as your pet’s skin doctor seriously. That’s why we’ve invested so much time and money in our diagnostic services. Our convenient in-house laboratory allows us to run a variety of tests to identify the root cause of your pet’s external health problems. Rest assured, we will do whatever it takes to get the answers we need to give your pet the relief he or she deserves.

Among the many skin conditions we can help with are:

  • Allergies
  • Tumors
  • Atopic Dermatitis
  • Ear Infections
  • Hormonal Imbalances
  • Parasites
  • Autoimmune Conditions
  • Foot Infections
  • Skin Cancer

Treatment Strategy

To treat dermatological conditions in the most precise and effective way, we customize our approach to each patient. Treatment options we may recommend include topical creams, medications, therapy, and supplements. If we feel it will help us achieve better results, we may suggest a combination of multiple treatments.

Care for Allergy Sufferers

Many of the things animals encounter on a daily basis can trigger allergies. This could include certain foods, as well as environmental factors such as dust and pollen. Should we determine that your pet is allergic, we will take the appropriate steps to pinpoint the cause. From there, we will work with you to develop a long-term strategy that help to reduce symptoms and minimize reactions.

If your pet has been scratching a lot or showing other signs of a potential skin problem, contact our Columbia, MD animal clinic as soon as possible. We’ll make sure he or she doesn’t suffer any longer.

I love Dr. Singh! His knowledge and experience have been spot on to help get my cats healthy and stay healthy! He offers suggestions for OTC alternatives to help save your wallet and offers multiple treatment options for you to choose from. I have a *spicy* cat and Dr. Singh works with me to find options to keep everyone safe from her temper tantrums at the vet. I have been to previous vets, but Dr. Singh surpasses them in every regard!
