For one thing, your furry friend could get pebbles, insects, or even lit cigarette butts in his eyes, ears, nose, or mouth. And if you had to stop suddenly, he wouldn’t be in a safe position, and could be seriously hurt, even if you avoid an accident. Another thing to consider is the fact that your pup could step on the window controls. Rolling the window up or down is hazardous either way. If it goes up, your canine buddy could get choked.
