Happy New Year! Are you setting resolutions this year? If so, your cat will be right there with you as you strive to meet your goals, cheering you on with purrs, cuddle, and cute meows. In fact, your feline buddy may have a few resolutions of her own! Here, an Ellicott City, MD vet lists some of Fluffy’s top goals for 2018.
Nap More
Did you know that cats can sleep up to 20 hours a day? Fluffy may very well strive catch even more Z’s this year than she did last year. She may also try new napping spots or positions.
Catch The Red Dot
Fluffy has been trying to capture that mysterious red dot for years, but hasn’t succeeded in catching her elusive prey yet. Maybe 2018 will be the year!
Get In Shape
As you’ve probably noticed, kitties sleep a lot. This makes it really easy for them to gain weight. Fluffy may vow to ramp up her workout regime this year, and spend more time pouncing and jumping than she did in 2017. On the other hand, she could also go the other way and decide to sleep even more!
Eat Better Food
Kitties can be rather finicky at times. Fluffy may turn her cute little nose up at her dinner, only to meow for something different. Feed your furry buddy a high-quality, nourishing food.
Get Some Sun
Cats really enjoy sunbathing. Fluffy may sprawl out in a sunbeam for her morning nap, and then choose another sunny spot in the afternoon. Your kitty might try to soak up even more rays in the coming months.
Hack Your Computer
Does your cat sometimes walk across your keyboard? Have you ever caught Fluffy sleeping on your laptop, or knocking your mouse onto the floor? Your furball may have been trying to get into your email or social media sites!
Train The Humans
Does Fluffy have you trained to feed or pet her on command? If not, she may have her work cut out for her in 2018!
Cuddle
If there’s one thing cats are great at—aside from being adorable—it’s snuggling. Fluffy may spend a good chunk of 2018 curled up with her favorite human!
