Cute Things Your Dog Will Do This Year

Happy New Year! As we leave 2020 behind (finally) and start looking forward into 2021, many people are pondering what the new year will bring. We’ll skip the political predictions, but we do have an idea of what some of our four-legged friends will be doing. Here, an Ellicott City, MD vet lists some adorable things on Fido’s 2021 agenda.

Tail Wag

When it comes to cute dog mannerisms, the tail wag is definitely at the top of the list. Fido may get so into it that his hips shake. It never gets old seeing pups signalling their excitement about something!

Look Of Innocence

Fido is more than capable of knowing that he shouldn’t beg. However, that doesn’t always stop him from trying. Your canine pal may look away when you notice him eyeballing your cheeseburger, and pretend he wasn’t staring at it.

Leg Thump

Many of our four-legged pals are very affectionate, and absolutely love getting petted. Fido may start thumping his leg with bliss if you get that stubborn itchy spot for him.

Head Tilt

Our canine companions are intelligent, brave, loyal, and intuitive. However, that doesn’t stop them from being a bit goofy. At some point, Fido will look at you with that adorable confused look dogs get sometimes. He may also tilt his head, as if asking you a question.

Happy Dance

One of the best things about having a dog is that you know there will always be someone that’s delighted to see you walk in the door. Fido may actually jump for joy when you get home.

Paws For Thought

Dogs have many adorable habits, but one of the cutest is the way they sometimes put their paws on our legs when they want to show support or get our attention. It’s hard not to smile at this adorable gesture!

Dreaming Doggo

Have you ever watched Fido snoozing? You may have noticed your pup twitching a bit, or perhaps making little noises in his sleep. Studies have shown that yes, dogs do dream, though the jury is still out on what, exactly, they dream about. (We suspect squirrels, bacon, and car rides may be involved.) Make sure your furry buddy has a good bed to doze off in!
