Cute Things Your Cat Will Do in 2019

2018 is officially a wrap! As we welcome in the new year, many people are pondering what the next 12 months will bring. Actually, Fluffy may have a few things planned for 2019. Here, an Ellicott City, MD vet lists some adorable things your kitty will do this year.

Steal Your Chair

Fluffy is always on the hunt for comfy napping spots, preferably warm ones. Don’t be surprised if your opportunistic pet jumps into your chair at some point this year!

Help Around The House

Cats have a reputation for being aloof and judgmental, but that really isn’t fair. Fluffy is actually very grateful for the good care you give her. Your feline friend may very well try to repay you by helping you change the sheets or wrap gifts.

Talk Back

Just like people, kitties all have their own unique voices. Some are chirpy, some are squeaky, and some just won’t stop ‘talking.’ Unless you have an extremely quiet pet, there’s a good chance that Fluffy will at some point answer back when you talk to her. This is always super cute!

Get A Cattitude

Our feline pals aren’t very big, but they have huge purrsonalities, and are full of cute quirks. They are also notorious for being rather temperamental at times. Fluffy may demand attention when you are busy, and then ignore you when you are relaxing. She may also get annoyed for no reason you can see. Don’t worry though: these little ‘kitty fits’ don’t usually last long.

Politely Ask For Attention

Many cats are furry little cuddlebugs that love to snuggle up with their owners. Fluffy may jump into your lap, meow at you, or gently tap your arm when she wants you to pet her. These adorable requests for affection are hard to refuse!

Sleep

It doesn’t take a psychic to predict that Fluffy will probably sleep through a chunk of 2019, or that she will manage to doze off in some unexpected places. Don’t be surprised if you find your pet in your linen closet. (Fluffy may also fall asleep in positions we normally associate with pretzels, but that’s another topic.)

Happy New Year! Please call us, your Ellicott City, MD vet clinic, with any questions or concerns about your cat’s health or care. We look forward to offering great veterinary care in 2019 and beyond.
